Hashiba Institute to Attend International Hiroshima

LONG BEACH, CA -- November 30, 2011 -- Hashiba Institute Founders will serve as the official representatives of the Healing Touch Program (based in San Antonio, Texas) at the International Hiroshima Caring and Peace Conference on March 24-25, 2012, in Hiroshima, Japan.  The Hashiba Institute, whose mission is to promote self-sustainable health by cultivating awareness, encouraging action and building communities, will share Healing Touch with the hundreds of Conference attendees through Experiential Corner and Information Exchange Sessions.

The two-day international conference, co-organized by the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing, Caring Island Kyushu-Okinawa Project and Watson Caring Science Institute, will showcase the impact of nursing care on global caring and peace.  Dr. Jean Watson, founder of the Watson Caring Science Institute, is the Honorary Chair and keynote speaker for the Conference to be held at the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing. 

“We are honored to be sharing Healing Touch on an international stage.  The continued support and endorsement Healing Touch Program has received from Dr. Watson as a heart-centered therapy aligned with her well-known Caring Theory, provides a wonderful opportunity for us to share this work with the international nursing community,” said Rumi Hashimoto, MSN, RN, HTCP/I, Founder, Hashiba Institute.
